At CFIUK we believe that believers enrich their faith and grow in spiritual maturity through continuous prayer and meditation. We not only destroy personal strongholds in our own lives through prayer, but we can change situations around us and impact cities, nations and the world. Through prayer we connect intimately with God and are able to lay ourselves bear without fear of judgement or ridicule. In prayer we seek to align our will with God’s purpose leaving our selfish desires behind and when it’s all about God and his will we can have confidence that our prayers will be answered.
This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 15 And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.1 John 5:14

Personal Prayer

At CFIUK, we believe it is crucial in our Christian walk to maintain a personal relationship with God through prayer. Luke 5 16. Tells us that that Jesus often withdrew to pray alone. This keeps you connected to God and resilient when faced with challenges

Corporate Prayer

We also engage in regular corporate prayer every Friday at our Church premises and during the week via conference calling as advised. Different groups also have corporate prayer patterns that are regularly published. We believe that corporate prayer is crucial because it opens up our hearts to the needs of others. It brings a feeling of love and belonging, encouragement, edification and a platform for confession and repentance.

Praying for Others

We are instructed by God to pray for others throughout the Bible. According to the apostle James “pray for one another, that you may be healed” (James 5:16).
We are instructed to “stand in the Gap” (Ezekiel 22:30) and “intercede” (1 Timothy 2:1-2 and Ephesians 6:18-20)
Jesus Christ even commanded, “Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you” (Matthew 5:44).
